Description

HI MI KI is a game of Observation, Thinking Skills and Strategy in which each player embodies a shadow Yamabushi. These mysterious, powerful corrupted wizards, in their tireless quest for power, clash relentlessly by making their elemental Yokai fight, monstrous creatures born from hell.

Skillfully manipulate your Wood, Fire, and Water Yokai. Tilt or Rotate your 3 cubes to defeat your opponent! In case of conflict between Yokai, remember: Fire burns Wood, Wood floats on Water and Water extinguishes Fire.

Each Yokai is symbolised by a wooden cube.
The symbols of the 3 elements are displayed on the 6 faces.
Opposite sides have the same symbol.
The game is played on a 6 by 5 square board.

Each turn, you have the choice of Tilting one of your Yokai or Rotating one or more of your Yokai.

If your Yokai is adjacent to an opposing Yokai, they will clash.
There are 3 possibilities:

1 - The 2 elements displayed are different and your Yokai is dominated by the other. You don't score any points and it's up to your opponent.
2 - The 2 elements displayed are different and your Yokai dominates the other. In this case, you score a point.
3 - The 2 items displayed are identical. In this case, you can play again.

The first player to score 5 points wins.

HI MI KI has 5 game modes:

- 1 vs 1 mode.
You face your opponent 3 Yokai against 3.

- 2 vs 2 mode.
The rules are exactly the same as for 1 vs 1, except that each player controls 2 Yokai in the dark or light zone of the board. If, during the game, you Tilt one of your Yokai to the other zone, your partner takes control. Of course, at any time, your partner can choose to Tilt a Yokai back to your side to rebalance the forces.

- Expert mode.
This is an optional mode that adds a little Chaos to the game. To do this, you have 3 terrain or event tiles, selected at random from the 12 available at the start of the game. When your points counter reads 2, 3 or 4, you can choose to use one of them.

- The Muk Yan solo mode.
This is a training mode where you have to react as best you can to the actions of an artificial opponent.

- And the Mindlock solo mode.
The rules booklet contains 60 challenges of increasing difficulty. These are clever brainteasers that will help you discover all the strategic aspects of the game. The puzzles must be solved in as few moves as possible. It's an excellent way to master the rules of HI MI KI and rapidly increase your level of the game.

Super jeu, un essaie et nous l'avons adopté. Se cassé la tète dans un climat calme, c'est super. Hâte de jouer à 4 joueurs voir la dynamique. Que de bon commentaire.
